A prospective employee may obtain an application package by visiting
the Nelson School Board Office or by downloading the following Microsoft
Word application form and documents.
Once a candidate has completed the
application package and provided the necessary documentation, an
interview with the Director of Human Resources will be arranged.
A successful interview is a prerequisite for placement on the
teacher-on-call list. Once placement has been confirmed,
teachers-on-call may contact schools to arrange a personal interview
with Principals/Vice-Principals to introduce themselves.
Interview dates for NEW
teachers-on-call for the 2009-2010 school year have been scheduled as
follows:

August 4th in Nelson
·
August 6th in Creston
Applications
will be accepted until July 27th, 2009.
Teachers-on-call who were on the
current school year’s teacher-on-call list MUST complete a renewal application
package each year if they wish to remain on the list. Renewal
application packages will be forwarded by mail to each TOC; packages
will also be available on-line or at the Nelson Board Office.
Part-time teachers who wish to be considered for placement on the list
MUST also complete the renewal package package.
Teachers-on-call who have improved
their qualifications or have increased their experience should submit
the information, in writing, to the Director of Human Resources.
