For special educators and teachers to engage with frameworks for understanding, planning
for, and teaching to diverse learners.

This is a foundational course that invites practicing special educators and teachers to engage with frameworks
for understanding, planning for, teaching and supporting diverse learners.

Theory, research and practice will be complemented with classroom examples to uncover how neurodiverse
children and youth can be included in classrooms with the emphasis on building student agency and
independence.

This course will be taught by Shelley Moore – a leading expert in the field of inclusive education. Shelley’s
interactive presentations are constructed based on contexts of specific schools and communities and integrate
theory and effective practices of inclusion, special education, curriculum and teacher professional development.
