Wildfires Affecting SD8
The following communities are currently threatened by wildfires in SD8, and the district is monitoring potential impacts to schools and families:
- The Village of Slocan and some surrounding properties in the Slocan Valley Family of Schools, which includes W.E. Graham Community School in the Village of Slocan.
- The communities of Argenta and Johnsons Landing area and the Howser area in the Kaslo Family of Schools.
