Superintendent's Report - Sept 2021

What an incredible month we are having! Following a busy August of preparing for a safe and inclusive return to school, the Kootenay Lake School District welcomed students and families back to school.

Big thanks to our educational partners, the Lower Kootenay Band and Indigenous partners, DPAC and PAC Chairs, the KLTF, CUPE, and the school and district leaders and community partners who have supported a smooth start up for all of our students. We are best when we work together for the success of all our students!

I really can’t say enough about how proud I am of our school district and our amazing students, administrators, and staff. The following report provides an overview of some of the exciting moments of our first month of the 2021/22 school year.

Sincerely,

Trish Smillie, Superintendent of Schools
