SD8 marks Remembrance Day to honour all the men and women who have served, and continue to serve our country during times of war, conflict and peace. Assemblies take place at schools across the district on November 7 and 8 leading into the November 11 weekend.

School is not in session between June 27 and September 2 and school buildings are closed. The first day of classes for the 2024-2025 school year is September 3.

The SD8 school board office is open Monday to Friday except for weekends and statutory holidays during the summer months.
