Sage Pillar

Student Trustee - Mount Sentinel Secondary

For Sage Ananda Maria Piller it all started in Germany in 2004, where she was born in the mountains of Bavaria in the early morning. After getting out of the hospital she went home, and soon her and her mom decided to move to Canada. They moved to the small town of Nelson BC. When Sage was of age, she went off to her first day of preschool at the Nelson Waldorf School. In what felt like so little time Sage was off to her first day of kindergarten, and then grade one then two and soon she was in grade eight and in her last year of school at Nelson Waldorf School. The summer Sage graduated from Waldorf was a long one as she waited all summer in anticipation for her first day of real high school at LV Rogers. Sage’s first year in high school was not what most people would consider a normal year, as the covid 19 pandemic hit and the year was cut short in March of 2020. After months of online school, it was finally summer and Sage made the decision to move schools and try out Mount Sentinel Secondary School. Sage's first year at Mount Sentinel was great. The summer after her first year there, Sage got a job at Vince DeVitos Shoe store in Nelson. Sage is now in grade 11 at Mount Sentinel and part of the media arts academy, the green team and she is also a Student Trustee.
