Ella Moore

Student Trustee - Kootenay River Secondary

Ella Moore is a Kootenay River Secondary School grade 12 student. She was born and raised in the Creston Valley. Ella spent her childhood studying classical piano and reading all the books she could get her hands on. When she is not at school, Ella spends her time continuing with her piano studies and reading social justice and fiction. She also loves her job working at the local public library as a student page. Ella has a passion for volunteering. She volunteers for the school drama program and the community club. Ella is involved in her school community as the elected leader of the student council and by being a part of the yearbook committee. Among her accomplishments is winning an intermediate music award at the Festival of the Arts, receiving first place in serval visual art contests, ranking in the top three of a science fair, and maintaining a high GPA all through school. In the future, Ella hopes to attend a university to become an environmental lawyer. Working as a Student Trustee she aims to help share the opinions and thoughts of the students in her high school as well as to help with environmental initiatives for our district.
