Riordan Fisher is one of two Student Trustees at LV Rogers for the 2022-2023 school year. The grade 11 student brings in a passion for giving people a voice and equality. Riordan currently works at the Nelson and District Youth Centre where she is a source of trust and leadership for people of all ages. She loves to work and establish relationships with children, being a factor in their development, and building their self-confidence. Riordan works to provide a safe and inclusive environment for people from all walks of life and aims to bring that experience to LV Rogers in hopes of making a difference and giving the student body a voice. She considers being the voice for a group of people is a very important role and plans to do her best to get the input from a diverse representation of students within the school. The Student Trustee has a passion for the arts and is an experienced dancer. Being a dancer has taught her dedication, how to pay attention to detail, and how to work hard independently, as a leader, or in a group. In the future, she plans to go into the medical field in hopes of helping people every day.
As a Student Trustee, Riordan looks forward to use privilege of being a connection between the student body and the Board of Trustees to relay key ideas and suggestions from those who are directly affected by the decisions made at school board meetings.
