SD8 monitors progress in meeting our strategic priorities by reporting on actions and outcomes through continuous learning reports .

We also monitor and report on milestones and key projects in each of our operational areas: finance, operations (including transportation), and information technology.

Reports inform both continuous improvement and adaptations. By continuously monitoring and reporting the Board of Education has the information necessary to assess decisions and progress, and SD8 staff, students, families, education partners and communities have access to transparent data and information related to organizational outcomes and data related to children's education.

Continuous Learning Reports

Continuous learning reports document actions of educators, support staff and education partners to ensure progress in student learning, and tie student learning data to SD8's five strategic priorities: Lifelong Learners; Connected Learners; Caring and Inclusive Learning Culture;  Cultural and Identity Development, and Career Development. Each of these strategic priorities is tied to the SD8 Strategic Plan 2024-2029 and to the B.C. Curriculum. Reports are posted on this page monthly for presentation to the Board of Education meetings held in public.

The annual Enhancing Student Learning Report published in June summarizes student learning information distilled in each of the continuous learning reports published throughout the school year.
